It's moving and dramatic. It's about our culture and history. But does it present the facts of the Stolen Generations in a fair and accurate manner? Students have to consider arguments for and against its accuracy. Analytical inquiry
Time: 15-90 minutes plus time to show the film
Students consider an aspect of culture and identity — what were the Stolen Generations?

Students critically analyse representations of history — do films present a fair and accurate version of the people, time, place and issue?

Students understand that in history there can be contested ideas — is our image of the Stolen Generations issue accurate?

Students understand that in history there can be differing perspectives — how can sources present a particular perspective?
